Week 18 - Munching Max

The doc gave Mom the green light for introducing Max to solids, since he weighed in at 16 pounds and 2 ounces at his 4-month check-up. (Despite this impressive gain, his weight growth rank dropped to the 75th percentile, down from the 90th percentile at his 2-mo check-up, potentially dashing Dad's dreams of his son's pro football career.) Below are some clips of Dad giving him his first solid: very runny rice cereal (not exactly a solid!). Although he spit up most of it about four hours later, he semi-ate and drooled it out like a champ.

Week 15 - Max's Bouncy Castle

Mom has recently taken to bouncing Max on her legs, which he seems to enjoy. But she's old and tires easily, so the ride is short-lived. In the last video, Max gets a laugh out of "beating up" Mom.

Week 14 - A Smile, A Yawn, and Two Sneezes

March 18, 2009: Over the past week, Max has been grabbing toys that hang over his play mat. At first, I thought his strangle-hold of George the Giraffe's feet was involuntary, but he gets a pretty good grip on them on a regular basis now. Unfortunately, he stops performing when I pull out the camera (he is an easily distracted baby!). While he doesn't quite show off his new skills in the video above, he entertains us with a smile, a yawn, and two sneezes.

For some reason, the quality of the uploaded video isn't very good. I uploaded it twice to see if the quality would improve, but no luck.

Below is irrefutable proof of Max's killer grip.

Our "Suite" Little Max

March 3, 2009 - The above video is a little outdated, but we're just now starting to upload the videos. This shows our third night in the Marriot Suites in Virginia. Max isn't entirely happy with the new digs, but Dad tries his best to keep him entertained.

Note: There's nothing too terribly exciting in the video, but his grandparents probably don't care (as long as the video has Max in it, they're thrilled!).
